50-50 Raffle

OFFICIAL RULES The Rat Queen’s Hoard 50-50 Raffle

By participating, you (an Entrant) agree that:

(1.) The Rat Queen’s Hoard 50-50 Raffle (the Raffle) is a fundraiser conducted by Wild Rivers Coast Foundation for Dance (WRCFD).  By purchasing a ticket for the Raffle, each eligible Entrant represents that they meet all the below-stated eligibility requirements and agree to be bound by these Official Rules, all applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations, and by the decisions of WRCFD, an Oregon non-profit organization, or its authorized representative. 

(2.)  Entrant must be a legal resident of the United States and at least 18 years old at the time of entry.  The Raffle is subject to all federal, state, and local laws.  Void where prohibited or restricted by law. 

(3.)  The Entrant that purchases the Raffle Ticket with the corresponding winning Raffle Ticket number (the Winner) receives one half of the value of all tickets sold. All remaining proceeds of the Raffle are retained by the WRCFD.     

(4.)  All Raffle entrants must purchase their tickets online through the Raffle Creator website that is linked to the WRCFD website and approved WRCFD social media outlets.  The secure system accepts all major credit cards.  Entrants will receive an email confirmation regarding their ticket purchase and number. 

(5.)  All Raffle Ticket purchases must be made during the applicable Raffle Period.  Tickets are not eligible to be entered into any past or future WRCFD Raffle drawings. 

(6.)  WRCFD employees are NOT eligible to enter the Raffle.  Ticket sales are permitted to WRCFD board members, committee members, volunteers, and family members of WRCFD employees. 

(7.)   The winning Raffle Ticket will be chosen from an electronic random drawing of all qualifying ticket purchases on December 16, 2024. 

(8.)  The selected Raffle Ticket number will be announced and posted on the Raffle Website that can be accessed by going to the WRCFD website at: https://www.wildriverscoastfoundationfordance.org/50-50-raffle

(9.)  To claim the prize, the Winner must contact WRCFD and present email confirmation of the Winning Raffle Ticket or present the physical copy of the winning ticket within one month from the conclusion of the applicable Raffle Period.  The initial email confirmation by WRCFD/Raffle Creator ticket confirmation and number assignment or winning physical ticket is the only valid receipt for claiming the prize.  The Winner must also provide WRCFD with all information required to claim the prize including tax identification information, photo ID.  If any of the required documentation is not submitted/completed within the stated time period, the Winner is deemed ineligible by WRCFD.  If the Winner refuses to accept or claim the Prize, then the Prize will be forfeited by the Winner and retained by WRCFD.  The Prize will be delivered via check within 30 days of the Winner delivering the winning Raffle Ticket and submitting the required documentation.   

(10.)  Each Entrant acknowledges that they have been informed that the IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances to participate in raffles, lotteries, or similar programs are not gifts and, therefore, the price of a Raffle Ticket does not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution.  The Winner is responsible for any and all federal, state and local taxes, fees, and other government assessments on the awarded Prize.  Furthermore, the Winner acknowledges that federal law requires a tax withholding on certain prize values must be collected from them upon award or distribution.  Federal and State withholding laws are subject to change without notice.  A Winner of a prize over Six Hundred Dollars ($600) will receive a W-2G form from WRCFD.  Taxes will be withheld in accordance with IRS and State of Oregon guidelines. 

(11.)  Raffle Tickets may not be resold to any other party.  Any Raffle Ticket which has been resold is void.  

(12.)  Raffle entrance and/or Prize acceptance constitutes a release granting WRCFD the right to use the Entrant's name, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, and city and state of residence for advertising, marketing and public relations purposes on a world-wide basis (without review by the applicable Entrant) and in all forms of media, without compensation, remuneration, or other authorization.  WRCFD expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability in conjunction with injury or loss to any person or property relating to redemption of the Prize.  WRCFD makes no representations or warranties in connection with the Prize.  Restrictions, conditions and limitations apply.  Each Entrant hereby releases and waives any claims (actual or alleged), demands, damages, losses, liabilities and causes of action arising from (in whole or in part) or in connection with WRCFD's use of  (or designee's use) of such Entrant's names, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, and city and state of residence, including, without limitation, any claims of defamation, libel, invasion of property, publicity, personality or exploitation of such Entrant's name or likeness.  

(13.)  WRCFD may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any individual who violates these Official Rules, or tampers or attempts to tamper with the operation of the Raffle, re-sells a Raffle Ticket, or acts in a disruptive manner to damage the integrity of the Raffle.
